About to END!!!

Where in the world has this summer gone????

It seems like you blink your eyes and time flys by, I haven't been getting around to doing to much of anything that needs done.

Less then a week is Rachels birthday with my dad's following two days later , Then Sept. will bring Coby's on the 5th and Jarrod's on the 12th and then Jacobs on the 21st and the only one I have bought for is Coby and I know what to buy Jarrod I just haven't done it yet. As far as the other three I have no clue what to get them. But I will come up with something and the time will come and go and we will be headed for Fall .

I am quite pleased we did get around to doing a few summer day trips and outings with the boys, They are growing so fast and can be such a pleasure to spend time with, It makes me sad to think that I won't be seeing them as much as I normally do with School starting , and the fact that I am starting a part time job.

OK OK I'll tell you about some of our little day trips we took and show some photos from them.

Oak Ridge Farms

There you have the opportunity to ride on a wagon and its drawn by horses and they take you all over the farm grounds and you get to feed the animals from the wagon, It was between going there and the zoo and I am so glad we went there. It was a lot of fun for the boys to feed the unusual animals and get that close to them. below are some pictures I captured that trip.

Mandy feeds an Ostrich and Rachel holds an ostrich egg. Those Ostrich eggs are really heavy
Jarrod really enjoyed feeding the
animals and was very brave with

Jayden was a little more cautious as he has had a few encounters with animals trying to take a bite out of him.
Coby we decided was better off just watching as he thought he should get to eat the animal feed instead of feed it to the animals!

Below is a photo of our favorite guy and we named him Shaggy.

This was very interesting a zebra and a Zedonk the driver told us that it was a cross between a zebra and a donkey- see how the donkeys legs are striped, I'm wishing I would have asked if they were mated purposely or if it just happened.

After the wagon ride there was a petting zoo, We all thought the little fuzzy yellow ducks were so cute , I didn't have my camera ready when Aunt Mandy showed one to Coby and he grabbed it by the neck and tried to insert its whole head into his Mouth LOL Yes we saved the poor little duckie. And notice Keith in the background although I chopped off his head he was enjoying himself more then usual also.

They both got to sit on one of the horses that pulled the wagon we rode in that was neat, AT first Jayden said NO but he decided to but seemed really uncomfortable with it , They were really big horses so I could understand that.
Below You can see that Grandma Betty went along also and she enjoyed the animals and liked talking to and Petting the horse but I couldn't get her to sit on one.LOL

OK well that took a lot longer then I thought it would and was much more in depth then I planned on going into for one day SOOO I guess the next Day trip can be put on my Blog tomorrow so Check Back for more of our FUN Day Trips...........

Happy Birthday To Me!!!!!!

WOOHOO what a fun week-end, I started my FUN week-end on Thursday evening and kept the two older boys overnight, They went home Friday Morning and I picked up Mandy and my MIL and the three of us went shopping. We had lunch at Paneras and it was wonderful, they have a seasonal Summer salad and it has strawberries and mandarin oranges on it along with a YUMMY Poppy seed dressing, Yum it was so refreshing.

Friday evening we went to my nieces and sat in her yard and watched a pretty nice parade that lasted pretty long It was nice and when it was over we walked over to a festival that was next to her house. I ran into a friend there that I haven't seen much lately and we chatted for a while, When it got dark we went back to sit in her yard and watch the fireworks display , that was nice also. That brought us home and to bed.

Saturday morning we went and did some chores for MIl , came home preparing to get ready to go to another festival and fireworks, we had dinner at this really nice little Family Italian Restaurant. Jarrod was supposedly posing for a pic with me and this is the face he made ...

We had to take two cars as there were nine people that went along. The Firework display was awesome I think its the best ones I have ever attended. They Were Great. We fed the ducks popcorn AND I fed Coby the baby cotton candy, He seemed to like it a lot LOL.

WOOHOO Then here we are it is Sunday and I am the Birthday Girl ,,,YES!!!!! LOL We got up and went to church and afterwards we all enjoyed spagetti and salad for lunch and then They had ordered and gotten me a Strawberry Cheesecake from Dairy Queen,,Yum it was great. decorated with pretty pink flowers, Here is a Photo of it below.

The Boys went swimming in the little baby pool LOL, But it cooled them off and they had a lot of fun.

The kids went together and bought me a nice gift , Something I have been wanting for some time. It was wrapped so pretty in Pink Paper ....

HHHMMMM....Now you all know whatever is in this package must have to do with scrapbooking as we all know thats what I have the most fun with..... I didn't take a pic of it after I opened it , and I haven't even had time to play with it yet but it is a Zutter...Bind-it-all!!!!! YAY How fun can't wait to use it ,,,How cool is that?

Look at the beautiful Azalea bush, that I have in my yard, My Dad bought it for me and planted it for me also.

Looks like I need to start looking for the gifts in life....

Schools Out for Summer!

Well today is the first day for summer break for my grandkids, That gives me a full house today, I have 4 boys here, Three are my grandsons ages 6, 4 yrs and 8 months, along with my youngest daughters nephew that is 2 yrs. It may be an interesting, busy summer. And that could be a good thing. Normally I will only have them 2 days and one evening a week. My plan is to take them away and do things with them some days.

Today we were outside and they rode in the jeep and coupe taking turns back and forth , that caused some bickering and Drama but for the most part they had fun. I let Coby (the baby) sit in the grass he didn't seem so sure about that.
I got some photos and will download them later maybe adding some here.

As for right now I'm working on getting them to take a nap or at least have some quite time relaxing and unwinding for a bit.

They had pizza for lunch and when they get up from nap they will want a snack.

After they go home this afternoon I have a friend coming to scrapbook here at my house.

The week-end will bring getting caught up with laundry, grocery shopping, and taking my dad out of the nursing home for an outing on Saturday, Sunday will consist of church and small group in the afternoon.
